Robert Molenda knows a great idea when he hears one.
When Molenda learned about a new interactive mobile application for sharing historical photos and videos, he immediately thought about using it in Stillwater.
Molenda is this year’s winner of the Stillwater Area Foundation’s Great Idea Competition. He received a $10,000 grant to create PIVOT Stillwater — PIVOT stands for Point of Interest Visual Optimization Tool.
Here’s how the free app will work: People standing near the Stillwater Lift Bridge or other historic sites in downtown Stillwater will be able to swipe the screen of their iPhone or iPad and see photographs of what the site used to look like.
