Granting funds to local nonprofit organizations.
Notice: The fall grant round has been suspended for 2019. Our board is evaluating new ways to make a greater impact in the communities we serve.
As our endowment continues to grow, so will our capacity for grant making. Every fall, Stillwater Area Community Foundation issues grants to area nonprofit organizations. The focus of our grants varies from year to year. Sometimes we have an unrestricted call for applications. Other years, based on the input we receive from community leaders and area nonprofits, the foundation opts to narrow the application process to focus on some pressing challenges.
2018 – 2019 Grants
This year’s grants will be awarded to local nonprofit organizations focusing on four pressing issues:
- Diversity Awareness
- Affordable Housing
Applications will be considered for projects that are action oriented or centered on building awareness by convening community conversations. Organizations may apply for funding for up to two years to support new or existing programs. Up to $30K will be awarded this year. Please download the application using the link below. Application deadline is October 31, 2018.
Grant applications must come from qualified nonprofit organizations, to be used for programs benefitting people living in the communities within the foundation’s operating boundaries: Bayport, Baytown Township, Grant, Lake Elmo, Marine on St. Croix, May Township (including Withrow), Oak Park Heights, Stillwater and West Lakeland Township (north of Highway 94).
Information regarding the annual grant cycle is published every fall. Applications are accepted and reviewed in September and October. Grants are awarded in December.
Please download and save the application form onto your computer, then complete, print/scan and submit it. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed.
